Master’s Degree and four (4) years of relevant experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree and six (6) years of experience. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, preferred.

| Position Summary |
This position is responsible for assisting the University of Georgia in maintaining institutional control of NCAA, Southeastern Conference, and University rules and regulations. Responsible for all systems essential to monitoring rules compliance. This individual will report directly to the Deputy Athletic Director of Legal & Regulatory Affairs/Assistant General Counsel for Athletics. This individual will lead and manage the Athletics Compliance Office that is responsible for all aspects of athletics compliance.

| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
Ability to successfully manage NCAA compliance standards including a comprehensive rules education program for Athletic Association staff members, students, coaches, boosters, representatives of athletics interests, pertinent University personnel, and all other appropriate individuals and entities as well as the monitoring of all pertinent compliance systems. Very strong/effective communication skills with coaches, staff, student-athletes, boosters, University personnel, Conference/NCAA staff and all other pertinent individuals.

Lead and manage the operations of the Athletics Compliance Office. Monitor compliance with all NCAA bylaws as well as Southeastern Conference and University rules and regulations.

Coordinate NCAA and SEC rules violation reporting system, including investigation of all level 3 and 4 NCAA rules violations. Work in conjunction with Deputy Athletic Director for Legal & Regulatory Affairs/Assistant General Counsel for Athletics to investigate potential level 1 and 2 rules violations.
