The Senior Associate Athletic Director for Operations and Finance serves as the primary financial advisor to the Athletic Director and helps lead Intercollegiate Athletic Program by providing leadership in a manner consistent with the University’s mission. As a member of the senior leadership team, the position provides strategic direction in the areas of financial strategy and budgeting. The position supports the day-to-day leadership of UIW’s 25 programs while serving as the sports administrator for specific teams. The Senior Associate Athletic Director for Operations and Finance reports to the Athletic Director.

Job Duties

- Provides leadership and manages the assigned areas of the Intercollegiate Athletic Programs, which includes but not limited to the department’s business operations;
- Manages the processes for financial forecasting and budget development, and oversees the preparation of all financial reporting;
- Supervises and manages sports programs and respective coaching staff as assigned by Athletic Director;
- Serves as a member of the Athletic Department’s senior staff and leads department efforts in Athletic Director’s absence;
- Serves as the department’s liaison to the University Human Resources, Office of the General Counsel, and Financial Services Departments;
- Develops, implements and monitors policies and procedures to ensure adequate internal controls for business operations and works toward improved operational efficiency to meet overall goals of the department;
- Ensures compliance with institutional, NCAA, and conference regulations;
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
| Knowledge Skills and Abilities |
- Strong skills in budgets and procurement;
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills;
- Strong proficiency in personal computer applications, including proficiency in MS Office Suite;
- Ability to provide effective leadership and direction;
- Ability to effectively and creatively manage complex issues, supervise staff, develop, analyze and monitor complicated budgets;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Self-motivated;
- Ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels in the department, the University and the University community;
- Energetic self-starter and exercise sound judgment;
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures;
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

| Required Education |
Bachelor’s Degree.
|
| Required Work Experience |
Eight (8) years of professional coaching and/or complex administration experience at the intercollegiate level.
Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a professional setting.

| Preferred Qualifications |
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in a business-related concentration, such as accounting, finance, economics, etc…

| Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations |
Must have a valid driver license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.

| Work Hours |
Mon through Fri 8 am to 5pm with flexibility. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on needs of the department and assigned sports.

| Physical Demands |
Ability to lift equipment, tools and/or materials weighing up to 25 pounds waist high.
