The Senior Associate Athletics Director is a leader and fundraiser for the Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (DAPER) and works closely with the Executive Associate Athletics Director, Development to plan and implement the overall fundraising strategies and goals for the department. Position Summary:
The Senior Associate Athletics Director, Development is responsible for managing and assessing a wide range of development programs and activities to achieve the fundraising goals of the department. These programs and activities include principal gifts, major gifts, and annual giving.
The Senior Associate Athletics Director, Development will work closely with the Executive Associate Athletics Director, Development to create and execute the department’s fundraising strategy and define specific gift opportunities. The Senior Associate Athletics Director, Development will have oversight of the major gifts and annual giving programs while also managing a portfolio of principal gift prospects. They will also work closely with DAPER administrators and coaches, volunteers, as well as OOD fundraising staff, to advance the fundraising initiatives of DAPER.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled collaborator and influencer with a strong professional presence and superior interpersonal skills. They will have a demonstrated background of building and supporting diverse teams and striving to ensure equity and inclusion within their teams. The Senior Associate Athletics Director, Development oversees a staff of about eight and interacts with DAPER staff and coaches, key volunteers, and managers. General management responsibilities include developing, implementing, and assessing short and long-range plans for major gift and annual giving programs while also coaching and leading the fundraising staff.

The expected pay range for this position is $195,000 – $255,000 per annum.
