The University of Tennessee Foundation, Inc (UTFI) invites applications and nominations to fill the position of Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development for the University of Tennessee, Martin Athletic teams. Reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor, the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development is responsible for serving as the major gift officer for the UT Martin athletics teams, the Skyhawks.
The purpose of this position is to solicit and generate philanthropic support for UT Martin athletics programs and initiatives. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Front-Line Fundraising: Solicit and secure philanthropic gifts with potential to impact the students, faculty, and campus community at UT Martin, with a specific focus on the Skyhawks athletics programs. These efforts include identifying, cultivating, strategizing, soliciting, negotiating, and stewarding donor prospects.
Collaboration: Coordinate with development leadership and team members to understand and support the academic priorities of the university. Serve on the administrative team in athletics. Attend athletics events, programs and University Advancement staff meetings.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
The candidate who fills the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Development position is required to have:
A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required due to travel responsibilities of the position. UTFI reserves the right to consider all appropriate circumstances. In general, any significant driving offense less than 12 months old will eliminate the application from consideration for the position.
