The Skyline Conference, a NCAA Division III athletic conference based in the New York Metropolitan region, is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as the conference’s Associate Commissioner. This is a full-time, 12-month position with benefits. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2025.
The roles and responsibilities for the Associate Commissioner position will include, but not limited to, the following:
Communications:
Serve as the Skyline Conference’s sports information contact for all intercollegiate sports, conference & NCAA championships and special events including the writing of press releases and correspondence with local, regional & national media.
Development and implementation of a strategic public relations campaign to highlight student-athletes, conference institutions, co- sponsored initiatives and academic & athletic accomplishments each academic year.
Responsible for the daily maintenance and updating of the Skyline Conference website including writing and publishing content.
Responsible for the daily compiling of Skyline Conference news, results, standings and statistics.
Development of a consistent Skyline Conference graphics and branding strategy to be used on all Skyline Conference press releases and social media posts.
Content creation and production for the Skyline Conference website and all conference social media platforms including, but not limited to, weekly/yearly award winners, conference champions, NCAA Tournament qualifiers, special interest stories and conference initiatives.
Assist with the set-up and coordination of all Skyline Conference championship broadcasts.
Coordination of All-Conference balloting including the facilitation of coaching meetings, vote collection and award announcements.
Act as the primary contact with the contracted awards company to develop and produce yearly awards.

Administrative:
In conjunction with the Commissioner, establishing monthly and yearly meetings & events while assisting with the creation of meeting agendas and the recording of minutes.
Assist with the development and implementation of a conference-wide scheduling process and policy.
Act as the conference liaison with the Video Exchange program.
On-site administrator for all Skyline Conference championships as designated by the Commissioner.
Assist with the planning and execution of all Skyline Conference special events.
Assist with Skyline Conference SAAC initiatives.
Job Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree (required) or Master’s Degree (preferred) in Communications, Sports Management or related field of study.
5-7 years of experience working in college athletics, preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to successfully work remotely.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (including Photoshop/Illustrator), Hudl Production Truck, Sidearm Sports.
