Key Qualifications

Clear knowledge of soccer; modern coaching methodologies, playing techniques, tactics and strategies, to include but not limited goalkeeping unit specific responsibilities. Excellent office and administrative skills, task orientation, and timeline adherence. Experience and understanding of recruitment and development of top athletes; international recruiting contacts a plus. Team scouting, video and match analysis experience highly preferred. Camp/Academy Direction and Coaching experience preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus. Ability to support the equity and diversity commitments of the department. Ability to cooperate professionally and collegially with the media, the community, the university and the Athletic department staff and administration.

Education and Experience

- Bachelor's degree from an institution of higher education which is accredited by one of the six US regional accrediting associations or a recognized equivalent international degree of higher education. Preferably in coaching, physical education, exercise science, psychology, teaching, pedagogy, or related field. - Minimum of three (3) years of experience coaching and/or playing at the college level, preferably at the Division I or II level, or coaching and/or playing semi-professional or professional soccer. International experience a plus. - Experience and understanding of elite-level sport and recruitment of top student-athletes; facilitation and organization of a recruiting database, recruiting calendar, strategy, and coordination; domestic and international recruiting understanding and contacts a plus.
