Title: Softball Assistant Coach
Position Summary:
The opportunity to coach a Top 10 softball program at Duke University contend for Championships assisting with hitting and defense while effectively serving the Department of Athletics and assist the Head Softball Coach by performing roles and responsibilities that will help effectively manage the day-to-day operations of a Division I softball program in accordance with NCAA, ACC Conference and Duke University policies and procedures.
Candidate must have a minimum 2-4 years of college coaching experience and possess the necessary knowledge and experience to teach and educate student-athletes on proper fundamentals, techniques and game strategies in softball. Primary responsibilities include but not limited to: recruiting, video and film review, practice planning and execution, camps/clinics, scouting reports, and NCAA Compliance.

· Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage young women.
· Effective written and verbal communication
· Knowledge of NCAA rules
· Integrating innovative technology and possess strong computer skills with a general knowledge of recruiting and video software, and willingness to learn additional programs as needed.
· The scope of this position requires weekend, evening and possible holiday hours.
· Thrive in fast paced environment, possess a keen attention to details, and ability to multi-task
· Lifelong learner, open minded to new ideas and continually seek for new ways to improve your craft.
