About the Role:
In this exciting and multifaceted role, you’ll work closely with unit leadership to design, maintain, and operate the cutting-edge systems that power our sports events. From audio and video systems to lighting, scoring/timing,
IPTV
, and replay, you’ll be at the heart of the action, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
As a key player on our Technical Services Team, you’ll collaborate with campus and community groups to provide top-notch technical support for live sporting events. Your expertise will be vital in setting up and operating equipment, troubleshooting issues, and offering innovative solutions to enhance the overall experience for everyone involved.
Key Responsibilities:
System Design & Maintenance:
Partner with unit leadership to design, maintain, and operate all technical systems, including audio, video, lighting, scoring/timing,
IPTV
, and replay systems.
Event Support:
Work with campus and community groups to ensure proper staffing and technical coverage for a wide range of events. Be the go-to expert for setting up and operating equipment during live sporting events.
Problem-Solving:
Respond to service requests from the Athletics department with quick, effective solutions. Use your technical know-how to help staff and teams utilize technology to improve efficiencies and service quality.
Equipment Management:
Assist the technical services team in repairing, updating, and maintaining equipment and systems as needed to ensure peak performance.
Game-Day Excellence:
Collaborate with your teammates to deliver an unparalleled game-day experience for fans, coaches, and student-athletes.
Additional Duties:
Take on other responsibilities as assigned by unit leadership to support the overall success of the department.

One year certificate or training from college or technical school
1 to 2 years experience
Ability to operate sound and lighting equipment in high-pressure situations with no supervision
Operate scissor lifts
Work at extreme heights
Operate computers with audio software, Microsoft programs and lighting software
Great communications skills
