Utah Valley University is seeking a part-time Cheer Coach Specialist! Working under the direction of the Assistant Director-Student Leadership and Involvement specializing in the Spirit Squad, the Assistant Cheer Coach is responsible for assisting in the teaching and training of students in a range of technique related to cheerleading.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with the facilitiation of practices, the choreography of routines technique instruction, preparation for appearances and performance, cleaning routines, conditioning, and attendance at practices, performances, designated university events, and athletic games as directed.
This position requires tenacity, professionalism, commitment to student development, a willingness to contribute to a positive work environment, and a focus on student safety-both physically and mentally. In addition, this position is expected to contribute to a consistent, positive, and disciplined team culture with clear communication to students and the department staffing team.
