Job Summary

The Sport Science Coordinator delivers sport science services and process management as an integral part of the Integrated Support Team (IST), to include monitoring and testing programs. Position will be governed by a Sport Scientist, in support of coaches and trainers, to performs desired tasks, tests, and duties to aid Indiana University (IU) athletes and participants in performance enhancement and injury recovery and prevention.

Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Oversees performance monitoring and testing programs and provides timely reporting as required.
  • Oversees the collection, methods, and consistency (i.e., validity and reliability) of physical performance data across the performance staff.
  • Provides, maintains, and monitors performance analyses and reports (i.e., load monitoring and physiological/subjective load response).
  • Manages and administers safe, legal, and ethical practices for the dissemination of athlete, team, and related institutional performance data.
  • Assists head(s) of performance with deliverable performance services and special projects.
