Position Overview

Rider University, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) invites applications for a Sports Communications Assistant. Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Communications, this individual will support the strategic promotion of Rider University Athletics by managing media relations, digital content, and statistical coverage for 21 NCAA Division I athletics programs. This position plays a key role in maintaining the athletics website, producing engaging multimedia content, and ensuring accurate, timely dissemination of information across all platforms.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least two years of sports communications experience at a college or university or other athletics entity (either PT, FT or graduate assistant).
  • Must possess working knowledge of and a willingness to comply with NCAA and conference rules.
  • Good written and oral communications skills
  • Experience with website content management system software and various statistics software.
