In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: - A master's degree or higher from an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited. - Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) is required. - Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) with active status through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (www.cdrnet.org). - At least 2 years of experience in NCAA Division I athletics, including at least 1 year of experience working closely with a football program is highly desired. - Must be able to attain the Board Certification as a Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) within 12 months of hire. - Have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. - Knowledge of food safety procedures and working with food service operations. - Skill in excellent communication, presentation, and counseling techniques. - Excellent organization skills with accuracy and attention to detail. - Knowledge of eating disorders/disordered eating signs and symptoms. - Must have knowledge of complementary medicine, ergogenic aids, and nutritional supplements, including herbal supplements. - Maintenance of yearly continuing education in the field of sports dietetics required. - Must have experience with demonstrated ability to problem solve, plan, and communicate (written and oral) program objectives. - Ability to work independently with little supervision. - Must have the endurance and physical ability to move throughout various athletic venues, such as multi-level stadiums, sports fields, and other athletic department facilities. - Must be able to stand, bend and stoop and lift to 20 pounds independently.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
