JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA), a Division 1A and Big Ten (B1G) Conference Institution, is seeking an Assistant Football Nutrition.This position will report to the Director of Football Nutrition and assist with optimizing fueling and nutrition services primarily for the football program. The position will assist all aspects of nutrition includingfuel station management, practice and competition nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, counseling and education, and student-athlete meals.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the completion of annual performance nutrition assessments, EAT-26, and follow-up assessments for all football student-athletes.
  • Coordinate the completion of body composition assessments, interpret data, and translate findings alongside the use of current research into practical insights for energy balance that encourages optimal athletic performance and wellness.
  • Assist in maintaining documentation of nutrition services through Smartabase and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition strategies towards meeting desired outcomes (i.e., organizational, and individual goals).
