Pre-game: set up of the event venue well in advance; sound system, chairs, table, scoreboard and other equipment for the sport
In-game: problem solve of any technical or equipment issues that arise
Post-game: tear down the event venue as needed; sound system, chairs, tables, scoreboard and other equipment for the sport
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Position Type/Expected Work Hours
Hours will vary with game day work scheduled for nights and weekends; expectation is to be present at most, if not all, of the home games scheduled during the academic calendar
Supervisory Responsibilities
None
Essential Responsibilities
Work directly with communications staff in coverage of one or more sports
Help set up computer equipment, sound system, scoreboard, cameras and other technological equipment
Availability to help out during the game in a variety of positions such as camera operator, scoreboard, music, PA or spotting
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of athletics
Strong interest in sports
Knowledge of computers and cameras or the ability to learn how to set up, control and break down camera and computer equipment
