Job Summary/Objective:
- Track and record official statistics for Sweet Briar’s varsity teams in
soccer, field hockey, softball and lacrosse - Assist with game day set-up, tear down and operations before and
after games for each of the sports listed above - Help compile historical records for the creation of the College’s athletic
record books - Assist with the planning, organizing and running of athletic events such
as the annual awards ceremony - Help run social media accounts for various teams
Position Type/Expected Work Hours
- Scheduled shifts throughout the week (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.) with weekend
and night work for game as needed, will not exceed 20 hours per week
Essential Responsibilities
- Work directly with communications staff in coverage of one or more
sports - Update coach and student-athlete biographies
- Update in-season statistics
- Learn statistical programs for assigned sports
- Update and help create record books for assigned sports
- Keeping the social media accounts up-to-date and on trend
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of athletics
- Strong interest in sports
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite
The hourly rate for this position is 11.50 per hour. . This is commensurate with education and experience and will be determined in accordance with institutional guidelines.
