Sports Information Coordinator

The Ursuline College Athletic Department seeks applicants for a Sports Information Coordinator. This part-time position will be responsible for assisting in the coverage and media presence of the Arrows 16 athletic programs. Starting in fall 2025, this is a ten-month position, reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director of Communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains Ursuline Arrows Athletics website through Sidearm Sports.
• Produce printed materials, including writing and editing press releases, feature stories and game day information.
• Serves as game-day statistician. Compile and maintain statistical records for all sports.
• Assists in organizing the setup and coverage of all home athletic events.
• Assists in supervising game-day student workers and all game-day staff.
• Assists with coordination of all communication functions of the College’s intercollegiate sports programs.
• Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director of Communications.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in sports management, business, physical education or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, rules and regulations of athletic associations and conferences.
• Preferred experience with athletics stat keeping.
• Demonstrated knowledge of social media applications including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
• Possess excellent interpersonal communication and organization skills; computer skills; verbal/written communication skills; and demonstrated ability to work in an inclusive community.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends, possess a valid driver’s license to travel for competition.
