The Washburn lchabods have a proud history of success at the NCAA Division II level, and since joining the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) in 1989-90 have made 150 NCAA Tournament appearances and have won 48 MIAA Championships.

The start date is anticipated for August 1, 2025, and the successful candidate is expected to commit to working for 10 months with an anticipated end date of May 31, 2026. The candidate will generally work between 20-35 hours per week with weekend and evening work required.
Essential Functions:
Assist the Athletic Communications Office with coverage of the school's 17 athletic programs.
Performs additional job-related duties as assigned or as appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in sports management, journalism, communications, or related field.
Proven effective writing and editing skills.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Demonstrated general sports knowledge.
A proven understanding of StatCrew programs, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, lnDesign, etc.), and social media.
Driver's license with a driving record acceptable by the University's standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
NCAA Live Scoring programs experience
Stipend Monthly Exempt, Part-time
Background check and driving history required
