The Sports Medicine student assistant will work directly with the MWSU Sports Medicine department to assist in daily duties and practice/ game coverages for assigned sport.
Assist with moving and setting up sports medicine equipment for games/practice. Includes breakdown and clean up. Assist with observation of rehabilitation exercises with injured student-athletes Assist with stocking and keeping inventory of sport medicine supplies Assist with cleaning and disinfecting of athletic training room tables/ other medical equipment Other duties or tasks assigned by Sports Medicine department staff.
MWSU Student Degree Seeking At least an overall 2.0 GPA Enrolled at least part-time (6+ hours)
Must have an up to date CPR/AED certification Must be on-time Hardworking Trusting with medical information Able to remain confidential with medical information Great Communicator General interest in Sports Medicine or working towards Athletic Training degree
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
MWSU Fieldhouse, Spring Sports Complex, Spratt Stadium
