Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Sports Nutrition Operations Assistant for the Athletics Department.Among the key duties of this position are the following: Assists with the daily operations of the fueling stations located at the APC, RAC, CAG and RASC. Assists with the daily operations of satellite fueling stations . Assists with overseeing a team of student-workers that will assist in meeting operation needs. Creates team education materials through various media (flyers, presentations, social media, etc.).

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent, and/or up to 4 years of relevant office, clerical, bookkeeping, library assistant or related experience depending on the duties to be performed.  An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.

Certifications/Licenses

Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver’s license would be required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of food service quality and safety. Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments. Computer literacy, including working knowledge of word processing programs, presentation software, and nutrition analysis programs. Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion, handling sensitive matters involving student-athletes.

Equipment Utilized

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Ability to work a minimum of 8-16 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Ability to work in all weather conditions, lift heavy objects, and drive university vehicles.
