The Athletics Department invites applications for a Sports Program Coordinator to serve as the central and independent support for all aspects of the women’s and men’s basketball programs. This includes: public relations, financials, organizational, clerical, travel, event planning, and general support of all coaching staff members for those two sports. This position has a high level of initiative and independence in performing the job, especially due to the financial responsibilities of this position; the complexity of the assigned tasks is high. In this position you will be responsible for all financial aspects of the programs: procard manager; travel manager; Banner data coding and entry; finances associated with special fundraising events for Hoop Club and Roundball; serves as liaison to departmental budget office. The person is this position is expected to make decisions independently.
ProCard Account Manager
The person in this position serves as the procard account manager for the athletic director, two (2) associate athletic directors, accounting associate, three (3) academic coordinators (along with seven (7) sports programs referenced earlier).
General Responsibilities
Athletic Department employees and those University employees outside the Athletic Department with NCAA rules compliance responsibilities are subject at all times to NCAA Bylaws 10.1 and 11.1 regarding ethical conduct and the responsibility to positively contribute to a campus culture of NCAA rules compliance. Failure to conduct oneself as such will result in disciplinary or corrective action up to and including immediate discharge.

Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week),
Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 12 months/year
Salary: $18.585/hr
Union Affiliation: FOCUS-MFPE
Probationary Period: Six months minimum
