Description
Anderson University (IN) seeks a graduate assistant in the area of Esports under the direction of the Esports Head Coach within the Center for Student Life (CSL) for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- 20 hours per week, the Esports Graduate Assistant will work closely with the Head Coach and other Esports staff, students, and the Department of Student Life
Assist in practice and development of players across designated titles
Assist in the development and execution of a robust broadcasting plan that allows AU constituents to watch live games/matches
Assist in developing and executing opportunities to invite casual game players into Anderson University’s gaming space
Assist in all administrative functions of the program as directed the Head Coach
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree.
- Commitment to University mission and Christian lifestyle.
- Admittance to Master’s program at Anderson University.
- Complete and pass the required background check.
- The graduate assistant must meet University lifestyle expectations, GPA requirements and work responsibilities to be reappointed for the 2025-26 academic year.
- 10-month work period: August 1, 2024 – May 31, 2025.
Benefits: Tuition waiver for a Master’s Degree (graduate programs in business and theology), $5500 per year stipend paid bi-weekly over 10 months for the first year and $7000 per year for each remaining year. Graduate Assistants receive the remitted tuition benefit of 100%. This is a tuition waiver of up to $5,250 per year that is not taxable; tuition beyond this amount is taxable. Pre-requisite courses taken at Anderson University, the MBA Technology Fee, the SOT Community Fee and the Graduate Fee are covered by the tuition waiver.
