Job Description:

The Iowa State University Athletics Department is seeking hard working, responsible, motivated candidates for an entry-level, associate position supporting the strength and conditioning program. This position will work under the direction of the Director of Strength and Conditioning and will be exposed to professional aspects of collegiate athletics strength activities in a progressive learning mode. The Associate will work primarily with the NCAADivision I women's basketball program and may serve other sports as necessary. Sample duties include:

  • Lead strength, agility, and conditioning workouts as designed by the director to help athletic performance excel (weight lifting sessions, conditioning, warm ups, cool downs).
  • Teach and demonstrate proper techniques and safety, conduct performance testing, and help motivate athletes.
  • Attend practices to observe, run drills, and operate Catapult.
  • Capture data (ie: Catapult, Force Plate), prepare performance reports on student-athletes, and assist in analyzing the data to add value.
  • Work collaboratively with the Sports Medicine professionals and Coaching staff.
