Under the leadership of the Director of Strength and Conditioning, the Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible to support all aspects of the development and implementation of a successful year-round sport-specific strength and conditioning for 16 Division I sports programs. This position will focus on enhancing performance, injury prevention, and injury recovery programs. This includes but is not limited to instruction of proper techniques, physical performance evaluating and testing, managing, scheduling, maintenance, and upkeep of the weight room facility, and adhering to all rules and regulations of the University, Northeast Conference and the NCAA.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Health, Physical Education, or related field.
• Two years of coaching at the collegiate level.
• Strong background in teaching or coaching Olympic/Ground-based movements.
• Must be First Aid/CPR/AED certified within the first 30 days of employment.
Must possess one of the following certifications:
1. NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association Certification)-CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist)
2. CSCCa (Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association Certification-SCCC (Strength and Coach Certified)
3. DBC Level 1(Professional and Collegiate Biomechanics-Strength, Fitness, and Conditioning)
This position may require nights and weekends. It will involve frequent bending, moving, lifting, and carrying material weighing up to 75 pounds; It requires both an indoor and outdoor working environment. Physical demands include, but are not limited to, standing, bending, lifting throughout the day and workout demonstrations with student-athletes.
