Job Description:
The Sports Performance and Fitness Center Coordinator will design, organize, implement, and supervise strength, speed, agility, and conditioning programs that align with NCAA Division III compliance standards for all of SUNY Poly's varsity athletics teams. This will include: teaching proper techniques and safety for all lifts and movement drills, implementing and enforcing facilities rules, policies, and procedures. The successful candidate will communicate regularly with administrators, athletic training staff, and head coaches. This position will also assist student-athletes with injury prevention training in consultation with athletic training staff. In addition, this position will direct the Wildcat Fitness Center operations to include, but not limited to: ensure that the facility is appropriately staffed, manage hiring processes and paperwork for student employees, oversee campus and community facility memberships, serve as a point person for equipment maintenance, cleaning, and purchases, analyze and evaluate new equipment and provide advice regarding the purchase of new equipment, maintain and schedule repairs for the safe use of all facilities and equipment, review and research new technology and equipment for the benefit of facility users, work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse student-athlete, student, faculty, staff, and community population, partner with campus Wellness Center staff for programs and initiatives.
