The goals to obtain are improve performance, reduce injuries, and teach lifelong fitness. This role is an integral part of keeping our student athletes in tiptop shape, always moving forward & reaching for more trophies.

Devises training plans according to sound scientific principles, supervises training sessions,
evaluates athletes, maintains athlete records, and teaches strength and conditioning classes, as
needed. | | Essential Functions |
• Designs and implements strength training and conditioning programs in‐season, off‐season,
and pre‐season for athletic programs, with the three major goals of improving athletic
performance, reducing athletic injuries, and teaching lifelong fitness and movement skills.
• Conducts an annual needs‐analysis for each sport team in conjunction with the sport coach
and the team’s athletic trainer at the conclusion of each sport season.
• Meets regularly with sport coaches to determine athlete’s needs. Consults with the sports
medicine or athletic training staff, as needed.
• Maintains the strength and conditioning facility, and for establishing policies, plans, and
procedures for the safe and professional operation of the facility. | | Commitment |

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, biomechanics, physiology, or related field | | Preferred Education | | | Minimum Experience |
One (1) year of experience in strength training or related field.

- Experience developing performance and training plans. - Knowledge of basketball and volleyball specific sports performance needs. - Must be able to make sound judgements and decisions. - Ability to maintain professional relationships with people across all hierarchies. - Capable of meetings deadlines and documenting information with accuracy.
