Job Summary

The Athletics Maintenance Student Assistant is primarily responsible for providing on field assistance to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating and Celebrating.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with daily athletic complex/field maintenance.
• Field setup for practices/games.
• Assist with field grooming, general landscaping and weed control; edging areas around complex using non-mechanical equipment and blowing out dugouts.
• Assist with laundry of game uniforms.
• Assist with inventory of equipment.
• Assist department with needs.
• Ensure a clean and safe workspace.
• Attend all meetings and training sessions as required.
• Preform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Ability to use light gardening tools.

- Ability to operate / walk behind mower.

Ability to drive golf cart. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications as required. - Excellent organizational skills. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Ability to work independently.

Minimum Qualifications & Education

• Current LSSC Student enrolled in at least 6 credit hours
• High School Diploma or GED
• Possess and maintain a GPA of 2.0
• Must be 18 years or older
