Extramural Physical Activities

Job Summary

 

The Student Assistant will support the Extramural Physical Activities as a Athletic Equipment Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2024. In this position the Student Assistant will work under general supervision of the Assistant Athletics Director for Equipment Operations, and Assistant Equipment Managers in a fast paced, high-energy environment with the day to day operations of an athletics equipment room.

Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Responsibilities

 

• Assist with receiving, inventorying, distributing, and retrieving all materials for staff and athletes as assigned by the Director & Assistant Equipment Manager 
• Work practices and work directly with a position coach or coaches
• Laundry 
• Assist with the packing for team travel, setting up locker rooms & cleaning of equipment
• Possible travel with the team
• Provides customer service

Shift Specifics

• Up to19 hours per week
• Flexible with schedule of availability
• Requires work on some evenings, weekends, and holidays

Required Qualifications

 

Educational Requirements

• Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Proposed Salary

 

$7.25 per hour

_ This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis. _
