Job Summary
The Student Assistant will support the Extramural Physical Activities as a Ticket Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Spring 2024. This student worker position for the Athletic Ticket Office will assist the Ticket Manager in the daily operations of the ticket office while also providing customer support to our fans.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
Responsibilities
- Assist Ticket Manager in all athletics ticket office operations, including fulfillment of single and season tickets for all ticketed events in athletics facilities to include athletic events, concerts, graduations, corporate, and other special events.
- Communicate effectively with the general public through box office hours, phone, email, social media, and web space to provide the most up-to-date ticket information and address all inquiries
- Participate in sales campaigns for prospective ticket sales as needed.
- Help utilize and maintain all ticket office technology including sales software, validation scanners, credit card machines, printers to maximize ticket office efficiency.
- Set-up and breakdown of game day ticket sales outlets.
- Follow all federal, divisional, and University athletics regulations, to include rules and regulations established by the Sun Belt Conference (SBC) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)
Shift Specifics
- Up to 15 hours per week
- Flexible with schedule of availability
- May require work on evenings and weekends
- May require work on holidays
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

- Current Georgia Southern student in good academic standing
Proposed Salary
$7.25 per hour
_ This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis. _
