The University of the Incarnate Word Athletic Department seeks qualified applicants for the Game Day Operations Assistant student position. Job assignment will be determined at the beginning of each shift. Responsibilities will include assisting with different areas within the department with various aspects such as game-day management logistics, marketing, ticketing, game-day promotions, facility setup, and breakdown, to ensure a top-tier game-day experience. This applicant pool will remain online and be used to hire interested UIW students as the need arises. This position is funded by the Federal Work-Study program and is open to UIW students who are approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study Program.
Job duties and requirements will vary from assignment to assignment, game to game. Job duties on game day may include one or more of the following: Assisting the Athletics ticket office on game days by scanning tickets from fans and visitors. Assisting with game-day ticket sales when needed by using the ticketing system or a credit card machine. Assisting with the player pass lists by having those on the pass list sign for tickets. Assisting with game day logistics. Assisting with the facility setup and breakdown. Assisting with in-game marketing and promotions. Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Exhibit professionalism with regard to appearance and conduct. Ability to manage time and multiple priorities to meet deadlines. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to follow procedural directions or instructions either with or without direct supervision. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Demonstrate knowledge of related PC computer applications. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures; Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

M-F; anywhere from 4:30 pm – 9:00 pm or depending on game time; Hours will vary; Evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required. May work up to 20 hours per week.
