Job Summary

This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity for a current student to gain valuable work experience while contributing to the success of Lake Sumter State College. The Student Assistant will provide essential support, working closely with faculty and staff to ensure efficient operation or departmental activities.
This is a part-time position with an expected commitment of 20 hours per week. The schedule will be flexible to accommodate the student’s academic and other responsibilities.
Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating, and Celebrating.
Students cannot work during class meeting times.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with practice setup/tear-down
• In charge of the in-game stats program
• Assist with inputting in-game stats into the official Presto program
• Assist with Inventory of all uniforms and equipment
• Communication with restaurants for road games
• Assist with pre-game bat testing

• Willingness to travel to road games with the team

• Perform Other duties as assigned

• Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to understand and input team statistics on our stat program (GameChanger)
• Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and confidentiality

Minimum Qualifications & Education

• Currently enrolled at Lake Sumter State College (min. 6 credit hours)
• Currently, hold and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
• Minimum age of 18 and not dual enrolled
