This posting will remain open to generate a pool of qualified student applicants for available positions during the semester.
To research and write
ASU
sports news and other types of stories as assigned for the Ram Page.
Essential job duties include:
Gather information for the
ASU
sports stories through research and interviewing (with training).
Verify and check the facts and statements for veracity and accuracy (with training).
Prepare and write stories based on the established journalistic standards (with training).
Be able (with training) to perform basic operations with the Ram Page website.
Attend and participate in the Ram Page budget meetings as scheduled and/called upon.
As necessary, assist the Ram Page editor in relevant editorial tasks.
Write columns and feature stories as assigned.
Meet the assigned deadlines and maintain communication with colleagues.
Must have appropriate writing skills.
Full time undergraduate students of any major can apply; however, preference will be given to those who have experience with and good understanding of college athletics, to more senior classifications – sophomores or higher, and to those who are willing and able to work in summer.
Must be able to carry up to 5 lbs.
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors.
$8.00/ hr
