University Athletics

Job Summary

 

The Student Assistant will support University Athletics as a Foundations Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2026. 

_ Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period. _

Responsibilities

 

• Assists with general office tasks, including answering phones, preparing mailings, filing, and data entry 
• Supports donor stewardship efforts by preparing thank-you letters, membership packets, and recognition materials 
• Helps maintain accurate donor records in Foundation databases 
• Assists with the preparation and organization of fundraising and membership materials 
• Provides customer service to donors, fans, and visitors to the Foundation office 
• Assists with event setup, execution, and teardown for Foundation events and fundraising activities 
• Supports gameday premium area operations, including hospitality rooms, tailgate areas, and suite management 
• Greets and assists donors, season ticket holders, and guests at athletic events 
• Helps coordinate volunteer staff and ensure event spaces are organized and donor-ready 
• Distributes promotional materials and assists with fan engagement activities 
• Assists with special projects as assigned by Foundation staff 
• Represents the Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation professionally and positively at all times 
• Upholds and promotes the mission of the Athletic Foundation to support Georgia Southern student athletes

Shift Specifics 

• Up to 20 hours per week
• Flexible with schedule of availability
• Shifts available Monday - Friday
• Weekends as needed

Required Qualifications

 

Educational Requirements

• Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Proposed Salary

 

$10.00 per hour

_ This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis. _
