What We Want
The Student Athlete Development Specialist III focuses on the holistic development of athletes, emphasizing their personal, spiritual, and emotional growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports psychology, counseling, or a related field, and a passion for nurturing the well-being of athletes.
What You Need To Know
Travel required. Nights, weekends and holidays as required to complete assigned duties.
Salary: Commensurate based on selected candidates experience.

Responsibilities
Personal Development:
Provide one-on-one and group coaching sessions to support athletes' personal development.
Develop and implement programs that foster personal growth and emotional resilience.
Monitor and assess the progress of athletes, providing feedback and adjusting development plans as needed.
Workshops & Seminars:
Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and medical staff to create a supportive environment for athletes.
Conduct workshops and seminars on topics such as mindfulness, stress management, and goal setting.
Advising & Mentoring:
Serve as a trusted advisor and mentor, helping athletes navigate challenges both on and off the field.
Assist in the spiritual development of student-athletes.
Provide advice and counsel to student-athletes in areas related to life skills, personal accountability, and personal development.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years of experience working with and supporting student athletes’, athletic administrative work or a combination of both and coaching.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
General knowledge of NCAA rules.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Interpersonal and communication skills and ability to plan and organize effectively.
