The University of South Dakota is seeking an advisor to contribute to the academic support needs of our student athletes. This position will work with the Director and other advisors in the unit to promote academic success and support students in the transition to university life. Major duties of the position include 1) advising students with major selection, degree requirements, registration, etc. 2) working with coaches to monitor

eligibility and support student academic success 3) monitor

eligibility of students, conduct workshops and training sessions to inform student athletes about
NCAA
eligibility requirements, and provide support for students at academic risk, and 4) assist with study table, recruiting, and other duties as assigned. The position may also include teaching a first-year success courses and other academic skills/orientation courses. Some evening and weekend work is required. Masters required.
