• Ensure compliance with Athletic regulatory agencies, including NJCAA, NTJCAC, and Region V. Attend meetings as assigned and fulfill requirements for federal reporting to meet Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA).
• Ensure the understanding/processing of eligibility requirements for student-athletes. Be able to certify student-athletes in accordance with NJCAA guidelines for all sports.

Required Qualifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all duties and maintain all standards per NJCAA and conference rules and regulations.

• Ensure the understanding/processing of eligibility requirements for student-athletes. Be able to certify student-athletes in accordance with NJCAA guidelines for all sports.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records (in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act), organizational plans, and personnel actions.
• Develop data systems to track student-athletes based on student-athlete retention, transfer, and graduation rates.
• Collaborate with Student Enrollment Services (SES) personnel to support enrollment, retention, and completion activities.
• Provide guidance, monitor class attendance, and oversee the academic success of student-athletes. Notify the associate dean and athletic director of any student-athlete issues.
• Work with Admissions and Financial Aid to expedite all student-athletes registration, admission, and other administrative processing.
• Conduct degree audits each semester to monitor student progress.
• Encourage the development of psychological, social, and mental skills necessary for student-athletes to be successful in the classroom, on the field, and in future endeavors.
• Serve as a role model for the student-athletes by always exhibiting ethical and professional conduct.
• Provide oversight of athletes residing in housing designated for student-athletes.
• Serve as game day administrator and assist with athletics marketing.
• Maintain the athletic department website.
• Oversight of all department social media outlets—Facebook, Twitter, etc.
• Master of Ceremonies at various events.
• Liaison with campus marketing and communication offices.

Supplemental Functions

• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Perform all duties to maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and core values.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of college or professional sports
• Knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations
• Knowledge of admissions and financial aid policies and procedures
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to provide effective leadership to student-athletes to encourage successful academic development

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Heavy Work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, climbing and balancing, plus pushing, pulling and lifting. Occasional exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards. Occasional outside work. Frequent physical effort required.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and two (2) years of experience working in a college athletics setting or similar environment.
Master's degree from an accredited institution preferred.

Licenses and Certifications
Current First-aid and CPR certification.
Valid Texas Driver’s License* and insurability with the college’s insurance carrier.

*Individuals hired for this position may be required to drive a company vehicle. A Motor Vehicle (MVR) Report will be run in conjunction with the background check during the contingent offer stage and annually/bi-annually for the duration of employment at Collin College. Candidates who fail the original background/MVR report or subsequent MVR reports may not be hired and/or terminated based on the results of the report.
