Waynesburg University is seeking applicants for the position of Student-Athlete Success Coordinator. This is a paid internship through the NCAA’s Ethnic Minorities and Women’s Internship Grant Program funded for two years (2024-2025 and 2025-2026 academic years). Salary: $30,000 annually for 10 months plus room and board along with additional annual NCAA stipend for professional development.
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree preferred in Sports Administration or related field. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations preferred. The Student Athlete Success Coordinator intern will work under the supervision of the Athletic Director. The position has a recognizable responsibility for athletic and academic administration. This person will work with the Athletic Department and Pathways Center to help coordinate and facilitate student-athlete academic success. The Pathways Center serves to provide comprehensive student support services, such as: peer tutoring and study tables, mentoring, peer leadership, disabilities services, career development, vocational exploration, Federal Work Study Program, Act 101 Educational Enrichment Program. This position will work under the supervision of the Director of Athletics with other duties within the Athletic Department assigned.
