The Athletic Office Worker serves as a support staff member for the Athletics Department by assisting with daily operations, customer service, administrative tasks, and departmental events. This position provides student employees with hands-on experience in collegiate athletics operations, event management, campus engagement, and student support services.

Answer phones, greet visitors, and provide customer service to guests, students, and staff
File documents, organize records, and maintain office materials
Assist with data entry, copying, scanning, and other clerical duties
Help prepare materials for meetings, recruiting visits, and athletic events

Campus Tours and Visitor Engagement
Assist with guided campus tours for prospective student-athletes and families
Help coordinate recruiting visit schedules and hospitality needs
Provide a positive and professional representation of the institution and athletics department
Additional Responsibilities
Complete other duties as assigned by athletics administration or supervising staff
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality within the athletics department
Adhere to all institutional, departmental, and NCAA policies and procedures
Ability to stand for extended periods during events or tours
Ability to lift and move light to moderate equipment and supplies
Ability to work in office, athletic facility, and outdoor event environments
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Registered full-time SSU student
Eligible to work in the United States
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and follow instructions
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms
