Eligibility
The following criteria must be met to be considered for a GA position at SJC:
Graduate Assistant Appointments:
GA awards are for 10 months annually and typically follow the undergraduate academic year
Based on performance and funding, appointments may be renewed for a second year
GA work hours are determined by the department to which a GA is assigned, but not to exceed 20 hours per week
Duties and responsibilities will correspond to the GA job description
GAs are not permitted to work additional on-campus position beyond their GA position, at SJC. External work is permitted with the approval of the GA supervisor.
