The Women’s Basketball Student Manager will be assisting the program in various areas including, but not limited to, laundry, practice, travel preparation, and gameday and/or recruiting operations.
Daily laundry of practice and game uniforms Daily practice set up Assist during practice with tasks such as the scoreboard/shot clock, stat keeping, passing/rebounding, etc. Various week nights and weekends assisting with home games Set up and monitoring opponent practices and gameday shoot-arounds
MWSU Student Degree Seeking At least an overall 2.0 GPA Enrolled at least part-time (6+ hours) Valid driver’s license
High school basketball player or manager experience
Strong organizational skills. Good problem-solving skills. Organized thinker with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously. Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function. Nights and weekends depending on game and practice schedule. Schedule will vary by week. No travel required at this time. Will occasionally need to run errands in St. Joseph. May be exposed to the loud noise of an audience at games.
