The primary responsibility of the Student Video Production Assistant is to assist in producing the live streaming and coverage of all home UIW athletic events. This includes the setup and takedown of equipment and producing a quality stream while incorporating all sponsorship assets. This position may also assist in shooting videos and editing for use by the Department of Athletics.This position is funded by the Federal Work-Study program and is open to UIW students who are approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study Program.
Assist in the production of streams for all UIW home events including football, baseball, basketball, softball, men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, swim and dive, and others as requested. Assist with the video board and game entertainment for football and assist with social media highlights and pre-production elements. Assist in the production of additional UIW features as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work without supervision. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. Knowledge of broadcast equipment and the structure of a live broadcast. Exemplify a go-getter attitude and willingness to support the greater good of the team. Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Current UIW student approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study program
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, video cameras, Tri-Caster, or 3 Play.
Experience in any of the following: graphic design, video editing, photography, audio technician, and/or camera operating.
Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
Ability to lift equipment, tools, and/or materials weighing up to 25 pounds waist high.May be required to stand for extended periods of time.
