Sports Training & Performance
Assists Certified Athletic Trainers in daily duties.
Performs basic taping techniques and modalities to assist the certified athletic trainers. Assists in preparing an athlete for games and practices. Assists in eliminating congestion and long waiting times to be treated. Assists in ensuring athletes have adequate water, stretching, splinting. Assists in activating the EMS based upon emergency action plan. Assists in an event of an emergency during athletic competitions. Assists in fill/clean whirlpool, wash & fold laundry, fill water bottles/coolers, restock supplies, clean and organize rehab equipment and ATR area. Assists in filing, shredding, mailing and other administrative duties Performs work in a timely manner and meets all deadlines. Maintains all information confidential. Provides a broad range of administrative functions. Maintains comprehensive communication among all contacts (internal and external). Models professional standards and ethics in accordance with WNMU philosophy. Performs other duties as assigned.
Current WNMU student.
Excellent customer service and communication skills. Skill in general office duties and office equipment to include telephones, copier, Fax, and computer/computer programs. Must be knowledgeable of University policies and procedures. Must be able to handle multiple deadlines and maintain accuracy. Must be sensitive to cultural differences within the University and community. Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications.
Normal office environment. May be required to lift normal office equipment and materials. Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information. Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication. Hearing ability for verbal communication/ conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions. Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing, and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
