Serve as receptionist by welcoming visitors and assist when needed in directing them to the correct destination.
Assist in athletics tours of potential student-athletes, donors, and other campus visitors.
Use various office equipment including but not limited to copier, laminator, fax machine.
Inventory incoming and outgoing of various athletic supplies.
Assist in setup, operation, and breakdown of home athletic events including, but not limited to, setup, breakdown, and cleanup of facility; assistance with ticketing, concessions, media, or other sport specific activities (ball shagging, equipment operations, game stats, line judging).
Assist with special events such as annual Golf Outing and Athletics Banquet.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation.
Must be enrolled in at least 6 hours at Mississippi University for Women.
Punctuality and attention to detail are critical components of employment.
Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills are a must.
Duties may involve lifting up to 50 pounds and working in extremely warm or cold elements for extended periods of time.
Hours may vary depending upon scheduled contest and may occur on the weekends and during holiday breaks.
Knowledge in Microsoft Office is preferred.
The Athletic Student-Worker will assist in various areas of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics including day to day operations, game day operations, and special events.
