Job Summary
This position assists with the security and safety of the front desk in the James Garrett Sports Complex by verifying identification and reservations. This position is the first contact for the facility. The Front Desk/Security position is responsible for checking individuals in to the fitness center and helping students/faculty/staff/visitors with directions of the building. This position is defined as a non-exempt position under
FLSA
regulations.
Specific Responsibilities
Verify Identifications and Checking SU IDs
Check-in and check-out all patrons and visitors.
Helping individuals find offices and spaces in the building.
Give directions and customer service as needed.
Monitoring the fitness area for safety.
Monitoring the James Garrett Sports Complex for safety.
Partner with all departments in particular, Campus Safety if suspicious activity is observed.

First Year, Sophomore, Junior, Senior. All Majors.

Additional Requirements
This position is paid $7.25 per hour and is about 10 hours per week
Physical Demand
Position requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
Position requires the ability to talk and to hear instruction.
Position requires occasional manual dexterity and the ability to use fingers, hands, and arms to feel, handle, and reach.
Position requires occasional stooping, crouching, and bending.
Position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
