Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Content Creator to join our team and elevate the digital presence of our women’s basketball team. As the Content Creator, you will be responsible for producing engaging and compelling content that showcases our players, coaches, and the excitement of the game. Your goal will be to enhance fan engagement, promote our team’s brand, and drive social media growth.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Content Creation: Develop, write, and produce engaging multimedia content, including graphics, videos, photos, and written posts, tailored for various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Twitter, TikTok).
Social Media Management: Create and execute a content calendar, ensuring timely and relevant posts. Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions to foster a positive community.
Brand Storytelling: Capture and highlight team activities, behind-the-scenes moments, player stories, and game highlights. Craft narratives that resonate with our audience and reflect the team’s values and culture.
Engagement Strategies: Analyze social media metrics to gauge the effectiveness of content. Develop and implement strategies to increase follower engagement, drive traffic, and build a loyal fan base.
Collaboration: Work closely with the team’s marketing and PR departments to align content with overall marketing campaigns and strategic goals. Coordinate with players, coaches, and other stakeholders for content opportunities.
Trend Monitoring: Stay updated with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices. Apply industry insights to keep our content fresh and relevant.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.

Education
First-year, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
Graphic Design, Communications, Media Studies, Sports Media majors or related field.
Experience
Proven experience in social media content creation and proficiency in social media platforms and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video editing software).

On SU Campus
Additional Requirements
This position is paid $7.75 per hour, with an estimate of 20 hours weekly.
Creativity: Ability to generate innovative content ideas and adapt to various content formats and styles.
Passion for Sports: Enthusiasm for women’s basketball and an understanding of the sport’s culture and fan base.
Physical Demand
Position requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
Position requires the ability to move about the campus.
Position requires occasional manual dexterity and the ability to use fingers, hands, and arms to feel, handle, and reach.
Position requires occasional stooping, crouching, and bending.
Position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
