Supervise Athletic Facility operations and staff during operating hours to ensure the department's standards for customer service, health, safety, and housekeeping is met. Supervise student employees instructing patrons on and performing routine maintenance of strength and aerobic equipment, maintaining signage and displays. Interpret and implement policies and procedures regarding access and use of facility by patrons and guests. Recommend and implement changes to department's protocols (e.g. scheduling, operating policies). Ensure adherence to rules regarding health, safety and orderly conduct by patrons.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree
Required Experience:
2+ years of related experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience providing high levels of customer service and supervising employees. Working knowledge of athletic facility operations.
Preferred Experience:
3+ years Supervisory experience in athletic facilities and experience in facility operations.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to meet strict deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy. Provide excellent customer service.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Inspect event facilities to ensure that they conform to customer requirements. Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, satisfaction of participants, and resolution of any problems that arise. Evaluate and select providers of services according to customer requirements.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $63,000.00 to USD $73,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
