Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field and Four (4) years of NCAA Division I collegiate athletics and/or professional sports experience. SCCC (MSCC) and/or CSCS certification. CPR & First Aid certification. Proficient knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Documented success implementing a movement-based, performance-focused training system. Proficient knowledge of strength and conditioning equipment, technology, and techniques. Knowledge of NCAA rules. Grade 7 (Salary).
Position Description:
The Supervisor, Olympic Sports Performance (Assistant Director of Sports Performance) works alongside the entire Cardinal Performance staff to deliver a holistic Health & Performance model serving 21 teams and over 500 student-athletes, with direct oversight of Senior Performance Coaches and Performance Coaches. They effectively and professionally implement our training philosophy, protocols, and methodologies for two (2) – three (3) programs, while also serving as a teacher and mentor within our mentorship program. They engage in sport-specific projects and oversee the day-to-day operation of the Marshall Center facility.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement a year-round assessment-based and data-driven program for assigned teams including integration and execution of analytics as part of student-athlete monitoring and management plans.
Apply high-performance methodologies and relevant technologies for athlete assessment, monitoring, and development.
Oversee performance education for student-athletes, coaches, and staff.
Oversee Senior Performance Coaches and Performance Coaches.
Oversee Sports Performance mentorship program (e.g., recruiting, mentoring, etc.)
Assist sport coaches during onsite recruiting process; meet with prospective student-athletes, coaches, parents, etc.
Teach and conduct research in collaboration with graduate program in Strength & Conditioning
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Sports Performance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in exercise science or a related field
5-6 years of related work experience in a sport performance setting within a collegiate or professional sport program
Experience with overseeing/directing a Sports Performance Internship Program and/or curriculum development.
Understanding of Google Suite, GymAware, 1080 Sprint, & Force Plate Technologies
USA Weightlifting certification.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
