Position Description:
This position has been established to provide temporary support to the leadership team of the Student Financial Aid Office (SFAO) with primary responsibility for oversight of the Fiscal, Operational and Scholarship Management (FOSM) team managing institutional and other non-federal aid programs. The position will provide high-level oversight, supervision, and guidance to manage programs, systems, and fiscal management activities in accordance with all applicable federal, state, private, and institutional regulations, policies, and/or guidelines; the scope of FOSM team activities include, but are not limited to, scholarship application management, awarding, disbursement, communications, problem resolution, data analysis, system utilization, financial account monitoring, and compliance. FOSM team positions provide essential support to students, staff members, campus partners, state agencies, organizations, and other internal and external administrative partners of the university.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide effective leadership to the Student Financial Aid Office through collaboration with the leadership and management of the Student Financial Aid Office.
Supervise FOSM team staff members responsible for the administration of instutition-based scholarships, state scholarship programs, state-mandated institutional tuition waiver programs, departmental scholarships, athletic scholarships, outside scholarships, and other non-federal aid programs.
Serve as a SFAO resource to the campus community and external agencies.
Represent the office at the director's request and/or in the director's absence.
Monitor budgets and expenditures and analyze general costs for scholarship programs administered by the Student Financial Aid Office.
Collaborate and coordinate with the Development Office and donors in the stewardship and establishment of scholarships.
Counsel students, parents, and the general public on all aspects of federal, state, and institutional financial aid and scholarships.Â
Read, evaluate, and interpret federal, state, and institutional regulations. Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance.Â
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Four years of related experience.
Broad and progressive knowledge and experience associated with institutional aid, fiscal management, supervision and campus partnership relations
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, electronic mail and web-based computer applications.
Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Oracle/PeopleSoft and federal financial aid experience

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
