The Athletics Video Assistant is responsible for assisting the Video Coordinator with all duties related to sport specific practices and games. This role will work with Football (details below) and Soccer, Track, and Cross Country.

The Athletics Video Assistant is responsible for assisting the Video Coordinator with all duties related to sport specific practices and games. This role will work with Football (details below) and Soccer, Track, and Cross Country.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Track/Soccer/CC:

Provide soccer and track coaching staffs with video coverage for practice. Provide soccer video coverage for select pre-season games. Provide track coverage for select track and field meets.

Football:

Assist Videographers with Football practices and games - 45%. Assist in packing of Video equipment for away and home games - 25%. Assist with all duties as they relate to the Video Services Room - 25%. Assist with other duties as assigned - 5%.

All Sports:

Maintains a consistent visual image and brand identity as established by graphic designers. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field is preferred

Required:

• Familiarity with Panasonic AW-HE 150/160 PTZ cameras systems and controls.
• Familiarity with 8K Video Solutions camera systems
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with standard coaching film practices.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

• Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
• Commitment to the University’s core values.
• Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
• Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
