The Men’s Lacrosse Assistant will manage administrative and logistical tasks for the Men’s lacrosse program, such as travel, scheduling, budget monitoring, and facility coordination, to support the head coach and student-athletes. This position will also have some day to on field responsibilities regarding directing operations at practice and games. The position requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of NCAA regulations, and proficiency with relevant software to handle day-to-day operations and ensure smooth program functioning.
11 month position beginning July 1-May 31st.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of lacrosse, NCAA and conference rules and regulations, and athletic administration principles.
Organizational Skills : Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
Communication Skills : Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build positive relationships with staff, athletes, and stakeholders.
Technical Proficiency: Competence with computer technology, including Microsoft Office suite, and potentially sports-specific software.
Liaison Role: Acting as a point of contact between the lacrosse program and various internal and external stakeholders, such as the athletic department, academic support staff, medical staff, alumni, and parents.
Budget & Expenses: Assist in monitoring and managing operating budgets, tracking expenditures.
Recruiting Support: Assist the recruiting coordinator with mailers, communication, and managing on-campus recruitment visits and events.
Team Support: Support academic development of student-athletes and manage team-related events, such as alumni weekends and official visits. Assist with on field practice and game operations.
Logistics & Travel: Coordinate and arrange team travel, including transportation, lodging, and meals for away games and tournaments.
