The Athletics Department is currently seeking a Temporary Sports Operation Assistant (Swimming & Diving) to join their team of professionals.

The successful candidate will assist the Swimming and Diving team in coordinating and preparing the team and recruiting travel and works in compliance with NCAA bylaws.

 Duties include:

• Coordinate with the Athletic Department Administration and serve as a liaison for Swimming and Diving team with various university units (housing compliance, and SAAC). On issues related to each respective area.

Job Summary

 

The Athletics Department is currently seeking a Temporary Sports Operation Assistant (Swimming & Diving) to join their team of professionals.

The successful candidate will assist the Swimming and Diving team in coordinating and preparing the team and recruiting travel and works in compliance with NCAA bylaws.

 Duties include:

• Coordinate with the Athletic Department Administration and serve as a liaison for Swimming and Diving team with various university units (housing compliance, and SAAC). On issues related to each respective area. 
• Works with Head Coach and assistant coaches with the team and recruiting travel (including travel authorization requests, buses/vans, hotels, and food); game day operations for the team at home (away, as needed) competitions. 
• Follows FIU procedures in handling all ordering of supplies. 
• Reviews, understands, and abides by all department procedures. 
• Maintains confidentiality for the department and all student matters. Treats with utmost confidentiality and sensitivity of any matter pertaining to academic and personal data of student athletes and any information either directly or indirectly impacting the University and/or Athletics Department. 
• Adheres to all State of Florida, University, NCAA, Conference USA, and department rules and policies pertaining to the position of Sports Operation Student Assistant (Swimming and Diving). Report any known NCAA violations or concerns to the Director of Athletic Compliance. 
• Performs other related duties are required as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that logically relate to the position.

• $14.00 per hour.
